Skin sensitivity and food hypersensitivity often occur simultaneously and have similar clinical symptoms. Using
hydrolysed protein sources greatly reduces the risk of these reactions. Eicosanoids formed from di-homo-gamma
linoleic acids and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) can offer additional support in the reduction of these reactions.
The digestibility of hydrolysed protein is higher than that of intact proteins. This makes hydrolysed proteins very useful in
the support of gastrointestinal conditions
SANIMED Skin sensitivity
for use in skin sensitivity and food hypersensitivity
contributes to the alleviation of skin redness and itching due to its fish oil (5%) and borage oil (0.5%)
reduces risk of reactions to food, due to the hydrolysed animal proteins (fish)
suitable from 14 weeks of age
SANIMED Skin Sensitivity dry and wet foods are fully interchangeable and can also be combined very well; see below nutrition plans for more information
Hydrolysed animal proteins
Hydrolysed proteins are proteins that are cut up into small fragments. By cutting up the proteins, these lose their allergenic properties and will therefore not be recognised by the dog’s immune system. SANIMED Atopy/Sensitive dry food contains hydrolysed fish protein as the only source of animal protein.
SANIMED Skin Sensitivity is available in packs of 400 gram (sausage), 3 kg and 12.5 kg.
The nutrition plan below is an indication of the amount of food to be given. Nutrition plans are based on averages. For this reason always pay close attention to condition your dog and adapt the amount of food accordingly.
