SANIMED Cat Anti-Struvite

Reducing and dissolving struvite
SANIMED Anti-Struvite contains the correct amount of urine acidifier

assisting the urinary pH value to lower to approx. 6.2. This pH value

has an anti-struvite effect without the risk of acidosis. In reducing the

urine concentrations of magnesium, ammonium and phosphate the

composition of SANIMED Anti-Struvite supports the dissolution of struvite crystals and restricts further struvite formation. This means that SANIMED Anti-Struvite can both be used in patients suffering from non-obstructive struvite urolithiasis as well as in patients who are prone to a recurrence of struvite. The formulation of SANIMED Anti-Struvite reduces the risk of calcium oxalate urolithiasis due to its low content in calcium and glycine (which form a substrate for the synthesis of oxalate) within the diet.

  • supports both the dissolution and reduction of struvite

  • counteracts the formation of struvite due its low magnesium, protein (ammonium) and

  • phosphorus content

  • has a low calcium and protein content, which helps to slow down the formation of calcium oxalate

  • induces an average urine pH of 6.2

SANIMED Anti-Struvite is available as a complete dry food as well as wet food in a pouch. Both foods effectively have the same composition and are fully interchangeable. SANIMED Anti-Struvite is available in packs of 100 gram (pouch), 1.5 kg and 4.5 kg.
